We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our clients site in Swanwick.
The working hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm equating to 40 hours per week.
Job Purpose:

The role of the Maintenance Manager is to manage the day to day delivery of all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance, and where applicable site-specific Projects by working with:

  • Facilities Management Service Coordinator (FMSC)
  • Mechanical and Electrical Supervisor (MES)
  • Support Operations Technician.
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Be accountable for ensuring that the work is completed in a quality and timely manner.

  • Line Management responsibility for all Technical Services Staff

  • Be responsible for delivery for all maintenance tasks, including any Training, Supervision required including day to day breakdown and PPMs.

  • The position requires flexibility on hours and on-call availability to provide cover for emergency breakdowns and shutdown periods.

  • Ensure that all Service level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets set are achieved.

Person Specification
  • The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance
  • To have a minimum engineering qualification of NVQ level 4 or equivalent in an electrical discipline
  • Good, all round knowledge of Maintenance Management disciplines 
  • Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation and management
  • Have good people management, leadership, decision-making and communications skills.
  • Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels

  • Knowledge of key operational procedures e.g. Asset Management & CAFM Systems, Quality and Health & Safety.
  • A minimum of five years’ substantial operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential.
  •  Experience of positively dealing with the resolution of customer problems within specific contracts.
  • Demonstrated ‘hands-on’ technical expertise in a number of key operational areas.
