Duties/Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Planner to be based in Eastleigh.
 
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Ensure that all planned preventative maintenance activities are scheduled and completed on time using a bespoke IT scheduling system.
  • Contact sites to arrange access for engineers and sub contractors.
  • Issue work instructions to engineers and sub contractors.
  • Liaise with engineers and sub contractors regarding any PPM related issues.
  • Maintain clear and effective lines of communication with facility staff and end user community. This shall include, but not be limited to, the communication of reference numbers, work progress reports and status updates. 
  • Process engineers worksheets and other documentation and update the scheduling system accordingly.
  • Liaise with account management and supervisory team and ensure they are informed of any additional works required following a maintenance visit.
  • Report any potential non compliances in a timely manner
  • Order spare parts required for servicing activities and ensure that they are available at the time of the planned visit.
  • To provide administrative support to both operational and non-operational areas of the business as required.
  • To liaise with all areas of the business within the EMCOR Contract to ensure that our Client receives excellent customer service.
  • This is not a safety related post, however the incumbent will carry out the activities of the post in a way such as to maintain, as far as is reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare of Company personnel and others and to safeguard the condition of the environment as required by the Company safety manual.
  • Collate data for the production of KPI reports.
  •  Assist supervisors with PRV replacement programme, kitchen ventilation report and gas shutdown register.

Person Specification


  • The ability to establish and maintain high standards of excellence in areas of operational administration.
  • Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Customer focussed.
  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent qualification, grades A-C, including Maths and English.
  • Willing to undergo training and operate customer bespoke scheduling and reporting systems.
  • Practical experience in an office environment is preferable.
  • Computer literacy is essential; knowledge of email and MS package is desirable.
  • Ability to be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels.
  • Smart, presentable appearance.
  • Personable and approachable.
  •  General knowledge of building services systems desirable.
