Duties/Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a HR Officer to be based at our client sites at Stevenage and Ware.  This is a fixed term contract. 
 
 
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 17:00 equating to a 40 hour week.
 
 
Job Purpose:

In support of the site management and HR management teams, play a key role in the organisation and undertaking of large TUPE and restructuring projects across client site.

Support with any management and HR activity associated with these projects.
 
Duties / Responsibilities:
    • Support TUPE project, assisting with due diligence, consultation meetings and liaising with proposed incumbent as required
    • Support restructuring project, assisting with consultation meetings and production of relevant paperwork
    • Provide advice to line managers on all HR issues in order to minimize risk to the Company. 
    • Supporting Managers through the various stages of procedures by preparing letters and providing written and oral guidance.
    • Ensure the provision of appropriate, timely and accurate management information to support strategy development, management decision making and improve the effectiveness of HR Services as and when required
    • Advise on company policies with regard to terms and conditions of employment.
    • Liaise with central HR functions as required, such as recruitment team, learning and development team and MI team
    • Acting as focal point for process changes, liaising with and involving HR colleagues and site administrators to effect improvements. 
    • Support the HR Business Partner in the execution of the HR Strategy, activities such as progression planning and management training
    Reinforcing EMCOR values & behaviours through interface with managers 

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a HR Officer role
  • Experience of large scale TUPE and HR Projects
  • A good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law
  • CIPD qualified L5 or working towards L7 qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
  • Able to demonstrate meeting targets and deadlines
  • Enjoys teamwork and supporting operational colleagues
  • Understanding of GDPR
