Duties/Responsibilities

Location: HYBRID - Travel to Aldermaston required 

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum DOE + Car Allowance 

Hours: Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700 (40HRS)

Role Overview:
 
EMCOR UK are looking for an Estimator with M&E or Buildings & Civils experience to support of new works project team on our largest defence contract in Aldermaston Berkshire.
 
This is a hybrid role; based from home with frequent travel to the site in Aldermaston. 


What you will do:
  • To manage the bid and resource co-ordination process involving both direct and indirect staff management.
  • Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
  • Provide information and prepare and compilation of proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of FM Service delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.
  • Proactive approach to the continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Management of the implementation of ‘best practice’ arising from consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.
  • Management of the implementation of common practice across the division to ensure meaningful commercial and operational datum’s are established.
  • Use of EMCOR BMF Estimating package / system to verify validity of bids.
  • Obtaining specialist subcontractor costs.
  • Read and understand the client requests / documentation.
  • Formulate bid based on BDM brief where required.
 
What you will need:
  • Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
  • Excellent management experience.
  • Relevant experience of estimating within the FM Industry or Mechanical/Electrical or Buildings/Civils
  • Experience of working in an SFG20 environment is desirable.
  • Proficient IT Skills to include, Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL.
