Duties/Responsibilities


Location:  Stevenage (GSK Site) some travel required to Cambridge and Harlow -Full UK Driving Licence essential

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum plus, Overtime, Plus Company Pension, Private Healthcare (after 6mths)

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Contract Type: Permanent 

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus BH

Role Overview:

 
Responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety during the construction phase of EMCOR UK project implementation.
 
Duties and responsibilities include:
 
Liaise with customers and their representatives.

Liaise with Principal Designers to ensure design and safety alignment.

Prepare Construction Phase Plans in accordance with CDM regulations.

Organise and manage contractors during the implementation phase, ensuring compliance with the project programme.

Conduct site inductions and start-up meetings.

Ensure the construction site is secure, well-maintained, and equipped with appropriate welfare facilities.

Consult regularly with the workforce on health and safety matters.

Support all phases of project implementation from initiation through to completion.

Assist in providing installation and commissioning documentation upon project completion.

Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Manage the delivery of installations using recognised industry methods and techniques.

Adhere to safety regulations and apply best engineering and safety practices.

Participate in internal company training workshops.

Be willing to work in secure and sensitive environments as required.

Demonstrate strong communication skills and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on complex issues.

Person Specification


Required Experience and Skills:
 
Proven experience in the built environment with a solid track record of planning, managing, and monitoring construction work.

In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, legislation, and best practices.

Self-motivated, results-driven individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Professional and courteous in dealing with customers, suppliers, and team members.

Flexible approach to work hours and tasks as needed.
 


Qualifications and Certifications:


Qualification in Construction/Build Environment such as NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, or Degree (aligned to discipline or specialism).

Valid industry-recognised safety certification, e.g., CSCS Managers Card, CCNSG Safety Passport, or suitable equivalent.

Completed Site Managers/Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS or SSSTS).
