Who you'll be
Essential:
HNC/HND qualified in mechanical engineering discipline – or equivalent demonstrable vocational training/experience.
Minimum 5 years relevant engineering experience, with significant exposure to pressure systems, in a regulated industrial environment.
In-depth knowledge of pressure systems and demonstrable experience in operating and maintaining such systems.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of risk-based inspection of mechanical systems, machine safety, PUWER and other related regulations.
Demonstrable proficiency in analytical and continuous improvement processes
Membership of a professional body (subscription costs covered)
IOSH / NEBOSH
Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, or equivalent) or working towards.
Experience with safety-critical systems and engineering within regulated industries (e.g., Pharma, oil & gas, energy, aerospace, or chemical processing).
Other Factors:
- The role holder will be ‘based’ at Stevenage.
- 40 hour weekday office hours pattern – with opportunities for flexible working.
