Location: Mobile Role – Hampshire / Surrey 

Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE. On call allowance and overtime available.

Working hours: 08:00 - 17:00 hours per week

Role overview:

 As a Fire & Security Engineer at EMCOR UK, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering a service within our large-scale account. You will be responsible for providing and delivering a professional and efficient service on the contract. You will be responsible for providing system repair, small works and system commissioning activity.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that all non-compliance and recommendations are followed up with a quotation or quotation build up sheet.
    • Comply with any request for any other duties on a time to time basis.
    • At least 5 years previous experience of installation of CCTV, access control, intruder alarm systems, intercom systems and fire systems.
    • Ideally the candidate will be a multi-disciplined engineer.
    • Adequate knowledge of relevant British Standards with a working knowledge of NSI and LPCB required standards. Advanced diagnostic and fault finding skills, with the ability to resolve by elimination and/or technical recommendations.
    • Knowledge and experience of permits to work systems, method statements and risk assessments.
    • Advanced PC and LAN/WAN Networking skills, including OS level operation.
    • Health & Safety trained.
    • System design, surveying, estimating and quotation experience.
    • Ability to implement a program of works and self-delivery to deadline time-scales.
    • Understanding of asset collation and controlled program of just in time replacement.
    • Ensuring that all reactive works are carried out within service level agreements.

  • General Information:
  • Full UK manual driving licence (Preferably clean)
  • Company van - Fuel and vehicle maintenance card supplied (not for private use)
  • Mileage will be approximately 30K per annum
  • Additional hours of work will be required from time to time
  • Mobile phone supplied (cost of private calls to be reimbursed to the company)
  • A laptop computer will be supplied
