Job Purpose

Reporting to the Resilient Power Delivery Manager you will support the design, installation, commissioning and Handover of multiple Power Generation installation projects within the Data Centre Arena within allocated budgets and programmes.

 

About the role

What you'll do: 
  • Be responsible for the delivery of resilient power projects.
  • Prepare specifications briefs in consultation with the technical and design team. 
  • Prepare programs in conjunction with the project manager & supply chain. Monitor throughout project delivery.
  • Appoint and manage specialist contractors as required.
  • To ensure good site records and documentation is kept up to date. 
  • Ensure work is complete to a high standard and inline with EMCOR QA. 
  •  To compete works as per the SOR and to work within the parameters of the work books
  • Ensure all RAMS are suitable and sufficient whether work is subcontracted or delivered by an in house team and are in place and adhered to. 
  • Attend client and pre start meetings as required.
  • Attend factory acceptance testing ensuring equipment is aligned to specification and performance criteria. Oversee completion of snags and defects resulting from FAT, protecting the interests of EUK and stakeholders. 
 
Who you'll be: 
  • Proven and extensive experience within a technical role on mechanical systems (pipework systems, HVAC or similar)
  • Proven experience in standby power systems, including UPS, Generators & their associated controls.
  • Demonstratable experience in the successful delivery of standby power systems.
  • Operational and technical experience in mission critical environments.
  • Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline would be an important pre-requisite of the role.
  • Hold current qualification in Mechanical/ Building FM to Degree level
  • Ability to plan and organise their work effectively to meet changing environments and needs.
  • Ability to liaise with and supervise contractors. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • To be able to communicate at all levels, with excellent written and oral skills.
  • IT skills required with specific reference to the Microsoft suite of packages.
  • Hold sufficient Health and Safety (CDM) experience that allows the effective running of projects. Preferably hold current CSCS gold card.
  • Preferably to hold SMSTS or IOSH.
