Role Overview:
Carrying out LOLER and PUWER inspections on Mechanical and Hydraulic Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Heathrow Airport,working within a team of inspectors to ensure our client British Airways iscompliant. The equipment is varied and located over a large area, so the role will involve lots of travel around the engineering sites to locate equipment requiring inspection. This role plays a critical part in ensuring British Airways can carry out its engineering work safely and effectively.
What you'll do:
- Mechanical bias Engineering qualification, minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) but ideally HNC.
- Proven hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing and servicing of mechanical equipment (vehicles/GSE/lifting equipment)
- Experience in Inspecting would be highly advantageous, as would holding any LEEA certificates.
- Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
- IT literacy skills, as inspections will be completed on a handheld device. Experience using Microsoft office would be advantageous.
- Must be able to write clear inspection reports for equipment, detailing any defects or recommendations.
- Must be able to work collaboratively within a wider team of maintenance and administration staff on the contract, and willing to carry out any reasonable request by management in support of the contract.
