Job Purpose:
Multiskilled/ mechanical engineer AP is responsible for PPM maintenance of plumbing systems for commercial buildings. To work closely with contractors to ensure that the plumbing systems are efficient, safe and meet all relevant regulations. The role also involves troubleshooting and solving any issues that may arise throughout the site.
Duties:
- Collaborate with contractors and builders to ensure plumbing systems properly installed and function correctly.
- Issue H & S inductions, permits and SSOW.
- Conduct on-site inspections of systems to adhere to regulations and safety standards.
- Resolve any issues or malfunctions with plumbing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Weekly/monthly PPM’s, meet SLA/KPI deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Hot and cold water systems, plumbing services including rectification of blockages.
- Low temperature hot water heating systems, pumps and controls.
- Ventilation, air handling and chilled water system.
- Compressed air systems.
- Legionella and pseudomonas control.
- Building management system BMS (training given)
- Refrigeration systems.
- Standby generator and associated equipment.
- Fire alarm system (training given)
- White goods.
- Lighting lamp replacement.
- Fire doors and closers.
- External drainage.
