Role Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, technically complex projects that enhance our customers’ environments and contribute to EMCOR UK’s mission to create a better world at work. You will lead regional project delivery across multiple sites, driving engineering excellence, commercial performance, and safety assurance while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

 

Leveraging EMCOR UK’s data driven, people focused approach to project delivery, you will ensure projects are delivered to exacting standards—on time, within budget, and aligned to regulatory and contractual requirements. You will provide strategic oversight to project teams, champion operational governance, and guide your team in creating efficient, innovative and sustainable solutions that support our clients’ long term goals

 
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex new works projects including design development, tender, procurement, installation, commissioning, handover and final account agreement.
  • Oversee preparation and agreement of specifications and scope of works (SOR) in consultation with clients and technical SMEs.
  • Review and approve extra works SORs in collaboration with Commercial teams to ensure timely valuation and issue.
  • Provide strategic oversight of labour planning, cost control and resource forecasting.
  • Drive cost-effective and innovative technical solutions that deliver value to both client and EMCOR UK.
  • Develop, manage and monitor detailed project programmes 
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, reporting and invoicing aligned to project milestones.
  • Take responsibility for formal project completion and structured handover in accordance with client-defined requirements.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and performance oversight to Project Managers & Supervisors.

About the role

Who you'll be: 
  • Proven extensive experience in Senior Project Management within building services, data centres, electrical and/or mechanical environments
  •  Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) desirable.
  •  Technical qualification or apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (electrical/mechanical/building services) essential.
  •  Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  •  Demonstrable experience managing multiple & technically complex projects.
  •  Proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary projects to programme and budget.
  •  Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within live operational environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with full lifecycle financial responsibility.
