CAD Technician - Fire Systems

Location: Aldermaston         

Salary: Competitive + Training and development

Hours: 07:45 – 16:30(16:15 on a Friday) – 9 day fortnight, every 2^nd Friday OFF (Paid)

Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who wants to build a long-term career in fire systems design. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers producing high-quality drawings while gaining hands-on exposure to system design, calculations, specifications, and industry standards.

What you’ll do:

• Produce accurate 2D/3D CAD drawings for fire alarm systems. 
• Amend and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist Design Engineers with system layouts, design development, and technical documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant fire safety standards and building regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• AD-HOC duties across the Fire Systems team.
• Develop system layouts in line with design specifications and project requirements. 

• A motivated individual looking for a role that offers progression and training. 
• Experience using AutoCAD (Fire Systems experience desirable but not essential). 
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
